Personal Information -------------------- Given name: Mariella Surname: Greil Email: mariella.greil@gmail.com I understand that by submitting this form, I consent to the use of my data for the purposes of the 2026 Forum on Artistic Research'.: Yes I agree to the terms of service.: Yes Your contribution ----------------- Title: Choreo-ethical Assemblages – Embodied Research as Cosmopoietic OEkology Format: Project presentation (2) Main language: English Abstract: How can we understand the world around us through our bodies, ethical considerations, and œcological awareness, and how can we actively shape it through cosmopoietic, generative forces? Choreo-ethical Assemblages – Embodied Research as Cosmopoietic Œcology explores the interconnections between choreography, ethics, and œcology through embodied research. The project and book presentation introduces micro-phenomenological actualisation and purposeful polysemy as methods for exploring subjective experiences and opening them up to diverse interpretations. Methodical-artistic approaches, such as the generative forces in choreographic environments that do not determine experience but open up spaces of resonance through ambiguity, are discussed. Thus, comprehension itself becomes a process that allows for and stimulates diverse interpretations. The twin existence of aesthetics and ethics, as well as narratives of “bare bodies,” make the intertwining of body, narrative, and responsibility tangible. “Choreo-ethical assemblages” make socio-aesthetic sensitisation and epistemic singularities palpable and unfold the political and poetic dimension of an artistic research that lives the relationality of diverse forces as choreo-ethical practice. The presentation will interweave filmscreening, book presentation and performance lecture followed by a conversation with the audience. The book "Choreo-ethical Assemblages – Embodied Research as Cosmopoietic Œcology" will be published on May 11, 2026 by De Gruyter Brill. See the link: https://avu.cz/en/notice/artist-talk-and-screening-mariella-greil The book will be published on 11th May 2026 by DeGruyter Brill and I plan to further develop my performance lecture and integrate film screening and book presentation into the presentation at the SAR FORUM. Requirements ------------ Additional information: I would like to bring several copies of my forthcoming book and in case there is the option of a book table, I would like 'Choreo-ethical Assemblages – Embodied Research as Cosmopoietic OEkology' to be presented there. Spatial and technical requirements : I will need a space that is equipped for a screening, but ideally also provides simple theatre lighting options. I can probably adapt to the situation though. Potential risks or ethical concerns: There are not ethical risks foreseeable at this moment. Create a user account for SAR 2026: Yes Create new user: Mariella Greil
